Puerto Soller - sometimes known as Port de Soller - is one of the most picturesque coastal resorts in the whole of Mallorca. Just a couple of miles west of the pretty old town of Soller, there’s a definite “buzz” about Puerto Soller.
The town’s most attractive feature is undoubtedly its wide, horseshoe-shaped bay, twinkling in the Mediterranean sun and surrounded by attractive, forested hillsides.
Puerto Soller offers a real laid back Mallorcan vibe and is very family orientated. You’ll find some classy cafes and restaurants (many offering delicious local seafood dishes) dotted along the largely pedestrianized seafront.

Restaurants – Puerto Soller has some of the best eateries on the island. Look out for the rather classy cafes and restaurants (many offering delicious local seafood dishes) dotted along the seafront. Naturally being a fishing harbour, freshly-caught seafood is a speciality.
Vintage Tram - an absolute must-do when in Puerto Soller. Hop on to the vintage tram (locally known as the ‘Orange Express’) which travels around the bay’s eastern side and connects with the pretty town of Soller. An enjoyable family experience.
Cap Gross lighthouse – just outside Puerto Soller, this cliff-top lighthouse commands a fabulous spot overlooking the harbour and wild, rocky coastline. Especially recommended for watching the sun go down over the bay.
Platja d’en Repic – pleasant local beach to relax on. Soak up the Mediterranean sunshine and go for a swim in the crystal clear waters and.
Sa Calobra – a stunningly beautiful small nearby cove and location of the magnificent box canyon at the mouth of the Torrent de Pareis.
Boat Trips – a definite recommendation when in Puerto Soller. A popular excursion is to Sa Calobra (see above).
Sa Fira I es Firo – feisty fiesta held in the second week of May every year to commemorate the vanquishing of invading Arab pirates in 1561. A rather spectacular knees-up!
Fiesta of Our Lady of Carmen – takes place on 15th June each year. Centred around the port area, extravagantly decorated boats sail in procession around the bay.
Soller Antique Train – starting from the nearby town of Soller, the train links with the capital Palma. The 28-kilometre narrow gauge rail journey on the delightful vintage brass and mahogany train is one of Mallorca's most popular tourist attractions. One of the most beautiful railway journeys in Europe.
Balearic Museum of Natural Sciences – located in nearby Soller old town, the museum has a permanent collection featuring an assortment of island rocks and fossils, as well as a revolving exhibition. The attractive Botanic Garden outside exhibits a variety of plants native to Mallorca.

How to get to Puerto Soller
Puerto Soller is easy to reach by car, bus and taxi from Palma and its international airport. There is a direct major road from the capital (the Ma-11) which tunnels through the mountains. If you have plenty of time, there is also a longer, more scenic road via the Ma-11a which hairpins over the mountains in a most attractive manner and saves paying the tunnel toll. Buses also run regularly to here from Palma.
