Seasonal temperatures vary, in July and August they can top 30°C with sunshine all day long! Spring and autumn days can also be very warm with highs up to 27°C. The quieter months are very popular with hikers and cyclists, and even in the winter the Balearics are still “open for business”.

The majority of our properties are not pet friendly. If pets are allowed to come to the property then this will be indicated in the description.

You are committed to take care of the property during your stay and return the property to the owner in the same condition as it was received. Some property owners will ask you for a damage deposit which will be returned to you 5 days after your departure if the owner has confirmed that there was no breakage.

All tap water is fit for drinking, brushing teeth and washing. However it is always best to buy bottled drinks, some visitors prefer the flavour. For cooking or making tea/coffee the tap water is absolutely safe

Make sure that you have your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) with you on your trip. If you have health insurance then make sure that you bring the relevant documents with you. If you take any prescription medications then it is always advisable to pack enough to cover the length of your stay. If you have any pre-existing illnesses or conditions then take advice from your GP before you travel. If you have a medical emergency whilst you are on your holiday then call 112 to get an ambulance. In addition, by law Spanish taxi drivers must transport medical emergencies to hospital when asked to do so. Any driver can also turn their vehicle into an ambulance if needed. In order to do this you must drive with your hazard lights on and fly a white piece of material from the window. But be warned as misuse of this system will result in a heavy fine.

The average flight time is about 2 – 2.5 hours. Depending on the time of year you can fly directly to Mallorca. In order to get to Formentera you must get a ferry from Ibiza.

Bearing in mind the size of the islands it can’t take too long to get from the airport to the property that you have chosen. Most journeys are well under an hour. You can book a car in advance or hire a car on arrival (not recommended, but possible in some cases) or get a taxi from the airport to your door.
