Book Your Mallorca Villa for Summer 2027: When and How to Reserve

Published in Holiday ideas

How a villa reservation works with Balearic Villas, from the first offer to the final balance, and how to choose your dates and area.

If you already know you want a villa in Mallorca for summer 2027, the booking process is straightforward. It is still worth reading before you pay anything, because the deposit is non-refundable and the balance has a fixed due date. This guide explains how a reservation works with Balearic Villas and how to choose your dates and villa.

Why reserve your summer 2027 villa early

Choice is widest when you start early. As dates fill up, there are fewer options for the weeks you want, and fewer villas that meet specific requirements such as a larger group, a particular area or a private pool. We can’t tell you when a given villa will be taken, so if you already have dates in mind, ask us for availability before you decide.

How reservations work, step by step

Step 1: Choose your villa and dates

Browse our villas, or look by area or holiday type, and send us your dates and group size through the contact page. We check availability and, if the villa is taken for your dates, suggest others that fit.

Step 2: Formal offer and provisional reservation

After your request, we send you a formal offer. Once you accept it in writing, we confirm a provisional reservation, which includes the deposit to be paid. Check the details carefully when you receive it.

Step 3: Pay the deposit within 48 hours

The provisional reservation is held for a maximum of 48 hours while we wait for the deposit. The deposit is 50% of the total accommodation cost and is non-refundable. If we do not receive it within 48 hours, the booking is released. Once the deposit arrives, we send the final reservation confirmation.

Step 4: Pay the balance 60 days before arrival

The remaining balance is due 60 days before your arrival date. If it is not paid on time, the owner may cancel the booking and keep the deposit. For an arrival on 1 August 2027, for example, the balance is due on 2 June 2027.

Cancellations and changes

If you cancel or change a booking after confirming it, charges may apply, and they can be as much as the whole accommodation cost. A fee for processing the reservation or its cancellation is also payable by the guest. The exact conditions depend on your booking, so read the confirmation carefully and check our terms and conditions before you pay the deposit. If you are unsure, ask us before you book.

Because the deposit is non-refundable, check whether your travel insurance covers cancellation.

Choosing your dates and your villa

Most visitors think of July and August as summer, with June and September as milder alternatives. If you can travel outside the peak weeks, you may find more availability. Whatever the dates, decide what matters most before you search: the area, a pool, the size of the group.

For beaches and villages in one place, look at the north: Pollença and Alcúdia. For quiet and mountain views, try the villages of the Tramuntana, such as Sóller and Deià. For restaurants, marinas and sea views, look at Port Andratx and Palma.

Frequently asked questions

Can I hold a villa without paying straight away?

A provisional reservation holds the villa while you arrange the deposit, but only for 48 hours. If the deposit has not arrived by then, the booking is released.

Can I change my dates after booking?

Changes may carry charges, and the conditions depend on your booking. Check the terms and conditions and ask us before you decide.

How much do I pay at each stage?

Half of the accommodation cost as a deposit, within 48 hours of the provisional reservation, and the remaining balance 60 days before arrival. Other charges, if any, are set out in your booking documentation.
