What to see

Located near to Palma Cathedral, Palau March is home to a number of books as well as art collected by Bartolomé March. Here, visitors can enjoy everything from modern sculpture to ancient religious sculpture, with numerous pieces on display both in the courtyard and indoors. Sculptures by celebrated artists including Auguste Rodin and Henry Moore are on display, as is art from notorious Spanish artists such as Josep Maria Sert and Salvador Dalí. One of Dali’s most famous exhibitions, “Alchemy and Eternity”, can be viewed here. Maps created by prolific Spanish cartographers, some of which date back to the 15th century are also on display. Book lovers will appreciate the many books, manuscripts and other written works, again many of which date back to between the 15th and 18th century.

Found in the heart of Palma, the museum is easy to access via public transit, by foot or by car. The opening times of the museum vary depending on the season, but Palau March is always closed on Sundays and public holidays. Children under 12 visit free, while general admission is €4.50.
